AlaskaCam

I just stumbled across this: the AlaskaCam--a live webcam perched on top of a building at 4th and G in downtown Anchorage, about three blocks from my building. It presents a pretty accurate view of the general weather/atmosphere/conditions at my workplace, although it's not the same view I have from my window. This camera is facing west down 4th Ave., my view is north across 3rd Ave.

So when you're sitting at work in San Francisco in late November, feeling sorry for yourself because it's a bit windy and foggy, or when you're wondering if the sun is up yet in my world (I watched the sunrise over the Chugach mountains from work this morning, fyi), you can get a reality check by seeing what I'm up against.
